The professional members of Southside VA SHRM represent businesses and public agencies in all of Southside Virginia. SVSHRM is a recognized chapter of the national organization, Society for Human Resource Management. SVHRM has been a sanctioned chapter since 2000 but the organization has been in existence for over 10 years. Meetings are conducted in Danville which is located in the south-central area of Virginia on the North Carolina border.

SVSHRM is pleased to participate in a collaborative effort with other organizations and agencies to promote workforce development and economic development in Danville, Chatham, South Boston, Martinsville and other Southside towns.
